This product is a Laid Scrim (glass-led, also available in Polyester, Carbon, or hybrid), a cost-effective, open-mesh reinforcement fabric engineered for lamination into envelopes and related paper/board packaging under the site’s Packaging → Envelopes entry. It is manufactured by chemically bonding continuous filament yarns into a flat-laid open mesh (square or tri-directional), with binder options (PVOH, PVC, Acrylic, or customized) to match paper/board laminating, window-patching, and film-laminating processes common to envelope mills. The chemically bonded, non-woven-yarn construction gives the scrim lightweight, high strength, low shrinkage/low elongation, and corrosion resistance, and it bonds readily with paper, board, PE/PP films, and non-woven stacks used in envelope converting.

The regular supply of non-woven reinforcement and laminated scrim is 12.5×12.5mm,10x10mm,6.25×6.25mm, 5x5mm,12.5×6.25mm etc. The regular supply grams are 6.5g, 8g, 13g, 15.5g, etc. With high strength and light weight, it can be fully bonded with almost any material and each roll length can be 10,000 meters.
The core application of this envelope-grade laid scrim is as the hidden tensile grid laminated into or between paper/board facestock and backing (or window film, PE/PP layer) in envelope converting — and by extension the same Packaging platform also covers cardboard containers, transport boxes, anticorrosive paper, air-bubble cushioning, paper bags with windows, high-transparent films under the same Packaging category. It is laminated into the host stack to:
Envelopes see tension during filling, folding on inserters, and sorting on high-speed lines. The scrim adds multi-directional tensile and tear resistance at very low GSM, reinforcing the paper/board stack without bulking or interfering with print/window registration.
The scrim’s low elongation keeps the laminated sheet flat through printing, window-patching, folding, and filling cycles, preventing curl, cockling, or edge lift that would jam on inserters or sorters.
Beyond envelopes, the same laminated scrim platform feeds cardboard containers, transport boxes, anticorrosive paper, air-bubble cushioning, paper bags with windows, and high-transparent films — wherever a converter needs a lightweight tensile grid laminated into paper, film, or non-woven stacks.

Laid scrim can be used as basic materials to produce truck cover, light awning, banner, sail cloth etc.

Due to lightweight, high strength, low shrinkage/elongation, corrosion preventive, laid scrims offers tremendous value compared to conventional material concepts. And it’s easily to laminate with many kinds of materials, this makes it has an extensive fields of applications.
